Our first day in France was full as we toured the city of Paris with Pastor Didier Silberstein as our guide. The team was able to sight see in this lovely city but, more importantly, we were able to see the need for Christ. We had the opportunity to see a few sights including Norte Dame, the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Eiffel Tower. Seeing the history of the city, we were astounded by its beauty. Though we were blessed to have had the opportunity to visit these great landmarks, we saw people in need of Christ. We were introduced to some cultural aspects of the people which will help us as we witness.
One of our team members Kaylie Kline “One of my favorite memories was taking a train to Paris and also catching my first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower. It’s truly a moment I’ll never forget! Wandering around the charming streets of France, soaking in the beautiful architecture and exploring its shops was so much fun. What made it even better was the experience with my teammates. To wrap up the night, we listened to an inspiring testimony from Dominique. His story really touched me, showing how God has worked through him and his heartfelt commitment serving both God and others. I’m so grateful for such a wonderful day!”

We arrived at our temporary home in time to help with dinner and to enjoy some time on the property together. Dinner was served again by Dominique who continues to feed us very well. We were able to celebrate the birthday of one of our team members, Alexis. After the celebration, we heard Dominique’s testimony thanks to Didier’s translation. Dominique’s testimony was moving and spoke to the truth of salvation, the choice of Jesus alone. We were also introduced to the delightful owners of the home who are graciously letting us stay. As Didier translated their introduction, we were moved by this couples (Raymond and Claude) dedication and service to Christ. We are excited to hear more of their testimony in the following days.
Another teammate Melanie Glover: “My favorite part of the day was seeing the Eiffel Tower! The first time I saw the top of it from a distance, I think I screamed because of excitement! As we got closer, I could see the architecture better and it was beautiful. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to explore Paris and explore the city.”
