After a full day in Rome, the team was able to have a restful morning Wednesday before heading out to the market to distribute the Gospel and invitations for the nights concert. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at the hotel. Following breakfast, the musicians grabbed their instruments and we headed for the market. While at the market we were able to have a few singers and some others were hitting the street distributing. The people were so nice and most were very accepting of the invitation. Many stopped to hear the songs being sung and through that we were able to communicate with them and invite them to the church. Following the distribution the team was able to shop around the market a little (of course many got Gelato) and then we headed to the church for practice. Finally we’ve reached the evening we’ve all been looking forward to, the concert. Would any of those invited at the market show up to this concert? Faces lit up as we saw a few of those we were able to talk with and invite from the market. The evening was filled with much singing, fellowship, and some testimonies. Following the concert, a local girl by the name of Gracie wanted to show the team her favorite spot in town. We followed her a street over from the church to a place she calls the “Echo Dome.” This echo dome is located right outside of a local pizzeria and it is simply a concert ceiling that echoes. Gracie was so ecstatic that we all followed her to the dome. Once at the dome, we had the opportunity to worship once again but this time with some beautiful acoustics. Through this little girls excursion we were able to talk with and share the gospel with even more locals. The day finally and sadly concluded with a few games of fuse-ball and of course yet again, Gelato. Team member Emily Savage loved the day “On Thursday morning, we were able to pass out flyers along the streets of Grosseto, Italy including in a market that they have in town. It was encouraging to be able to see how accepting the Italians were to receiving the flyers, and also how interested they were in the music that was being performed in the streets. Later on at the concert, we were able to meet some of those same people that we had invited earlier that day which was special seeing how the Lord guided our feet directly to those who were open and willing to come to the concert. Our day ended in fellowship with the church in grosseto and many intense foosball games with a new friend, Gracie.”
