Today was another wonderful day of Vacation Bible School here in Italy! One of the greatest blessings has been seeing the joy on the children’s faces each day as they arrive full of excitement and ready to learn. Their energy and enthusiasm make every moment worthwhile.
We began our day singing songs together before breaking into groups to continue practicing English vowel sounds. The kids have been working hard and having so much fun learning along the way. Throughout the day, we enjoyed game time, creative art projects, and plenty of laughter as we built relationships with each child.
Our Bible lesson today focused on the message of salvation. We used Wordless Book bracelets to help explain the Gospel, with each colored bead representing a different part of the salvation story. The children followed along attentively as we shared how much God loves them and the gift of salvation that is available through Jesus Christ. It was encouraging to see them engage with the lesson and ask thoughtful questions.
After VBS concluded and everything was cleaned up and reset for the next day, our team had the opportunity to visit the beautiful city of Pisa. Seeing the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa in person was such a memorable experience! It was amazing to witness a landmark we have all seen in pictures and learn more about the history behind it.
We ended the evening enjoying dinner together at a local burger shop, sharing stories from the day and reflecting on all that God is doing through this trip. We are grateful for each opportunity to serve, learn, and build connections here in Italy.
